Do you include character customizations?
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean like in FF5 where each character has a different sprite depending on their class?
I think it's reasonable if there's only a small handful of characters who will change outfits. But if you have 20 playable character with 40 costumes each, you might want to reconsider.
EDIT: Oh you mean a customizable avatar for the main character. I honestly think it's overdone these days in a lot of games that don't really benefit from it. It works well with MMOs, games with any sort of online social aspects, and games like Fallout, where you might spend hundreds of hours. But I think for an RPG Maker game, it probably isn't necessarily needed.

What are you thinking about right now?
author=SgtMettool
I'm thinking about changing careers or at least trying something different for a while. Just because I have a degree in a specific field doesn't mean I can't do other things, especially when there are no librarian jobs out there and I'm losing my passion for it.
I should complain more often, because now I have a job interview next week.
It's DEMO DAY!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm hard at work getting everything spruced up and I hope to have the final game released by the year's end. :D
Luna Engine is a great tool if you plan to use VXA. And while it is intimidating at first, it largely boils to down knocking around a bunch of numbers. And hitting the playtest button. A lot.

Here's a plot-related temple. It's like a lot of other temples you've come to expect in RPGs, but this one is noticeably very pink.

Looks like a roarin' good time. I don't trust that rocking horse, though.
One nitpick: Is the musical note supposed to be an object, or part of the floor? The bold outline makes it look like it's a flat, almost sort of cardboard cut-out. But it seems like it's intended to be part of the rug.

What the fuck!? The hate for Trump is real
author=Pizza
I read somewhere that regardless of whether or not Trump gets elected, he's stirred up xenophic opinions and racial tensions enough to to cause a significant post-election issue anyways.
What's frightening is that racism and hate groups have found the motivation to move forward with their beliefs as a result of all this, and the number of people in this mind set is far larger than any of us could have imagined. Trump gave many of these people an opportunity to normalize these beliefs and behaviors that they've been suppressing for years, and it has exposed the ugly underbelly of American conservatism.
It's really scary stuff.
People and games [Warning: Foul language ahead!]
When you encounter that sort of vitriol, just fish out whatever legitimate feedback you can take from it and don't give them the time of day. People like that are looking to make your life hell and, more often than not, no amount of diplomacy is going to get them to behave any better.
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I told myself I was gonna take a break from gam mak for a week and then I ended up making the majority of a tileset last night. Whoops.
